Sunil Bhatia, co-founder and CEO
Sunil is the passion and vision behind RetireHub.com. He is a seasoned manager having worked in management roles at Fidelity Investments and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston, MA. Sunil is also a successful entrepreneur, having previously started AssetPlanner, one of the first internet-based investment advice companies. It was regarded as one of the best wealth management systems in the US and Europe by research firms and was acquired by Accenture (NYSE:ACN). Sunil subsequently led the development of the application that is RetireHub.com.
Sunil has been quoted and published as an expert in the investment press and has been a speaker at financial and HR conferences. Sunil obtained his MBA from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
Michael Stephens, CFA, co-founder and Chief Investment Officer
As RetireHub's Chief Investment Officer, Michael guides investment policy and is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of the algorithms and optimization processes used by the investment engine. This includes the construction and maintenance of target portfolios, security/manager selection, and portfolio optimization.
Michael held several positions at Fidelity Investments in Boston, MA. Most recently, Michael worked with Fidelity's Global Emerging Markets, Regional Developed and Domestic Mid Cap Portfolio Managers as a Senior Portfolio Analyst. His efforts served to ensure product integrity on portfolios totaling over $45 billion. He also worked as an institutional investment consultant with Fidelity Institutional Retirement Services Company. He provided investment consulting services to Fidelity's defined contribution plan sponsors, which included advising on plan design and plan investment options for plans valued at more than $4 billion in assets.
Michael has received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. He obtained a B.S. in Finance and Economics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Dan has spent the last 25 years as an executive with four venture capital backed software companies. Two of these companies achieved successful initial public offerings on NASDAQ and two were acquired by Fortune 200 companies. Dan was the COO of Concord Communications which attained an $800 million market capitalization. Most recently he was the CEO of Silverback Technologies which was acquired by Dell Inc.
